Windows 365 Cloud PCs hosted in Australia

Secure Cloud PCs for Australian Businesses

Give remote and offshore staff a secure work computer, without your business data sitting on their own device

Digitek IT sets up and supports secure Cloud PCs for remote staff, contractors, virtual assistants and offshore teams. Each Cloud PC is a full Windows desktop that runs on Windows 365 in Australian data centres.

Your staff log in from their own computer, and your business data stays inside the Cloud PC, where you decide what can be copied or downloaded.

Each Cloud PC comes with

Cloud PCs

What is a Cloud PC?

A Cloud PC is a complete Windows computer that runs in the cloud instead of on a desk. It has its own processing, memory and storage, and your staff reach it over the internet from a laptop or desktop they already have.

For your business, the difference is control. The desktop, the applications and the data belong to your business and sit in Australia, while the device your staff member uses is only a window into it.

The usual alternatives are posting a company laptop or letting staff use their own computer. A Cloud PC is quicker to set up than a laptop and gives you more control over your data than a personal computer.

A Cloud PC is worth a look if

Your staff should be able to work from anywhere without your business data ending up on their own computer.

Who It's For

Who uses our Cloud PCs

Cloud PCs suit any business with people working away from the office. These are the businesses we most often set them up for.

Offshore staff and virtual assistants

Staff overseas work on a managed Windows desktop hosted in Australia, so they can use your systems without your data sitting on their own computer.

Virtual assistant agencies

Each assistant you place gets a Cloud PC set up the same way every time, and the licence can move to the next person when a placement ends.

Accounting and bookkeeping practices

Staff and contractors can work on client files and financial records from home or offshore, with copying and downloads controlled.

IT support for accountants

Law firms

Confidential client matters stay inside a controlled desktop, with access set by role and removed as soon as someone leaves.

IT support for law firms

Brokers

Brokers and support staff can reach client information securely wherever they work, without storing it on personal devices. See our IT support for brokers.

Remote and hybrid teams

Staff working from home or between offices log in to the same desktop from any computer, with their files and applications where they left them.

What We Set Up

What is included in a Digitek Cloud PC

We set up every Cloud PC to suit the role of the person using it, and we keep looking after it once your staff are working.

Windows 365 setup

Each Cloud PC is set up on Windows 365 in Australian data centres, with the applications and Microsoft 365 apps your staff need for their role.

Data controls

Copy and paste, USB devices and website access can be restricted, so your business data stays inside the Cloud PC.

Sign-in security

Multi-factor authentication and conditional access rules control who can log in, from which devices and from where.

Protection on every desktop

Antivirus, antimalware and password management are set up on each Cloud PC and kept up to date.

Starters and leavers

New staff can be set up quickly, and when someone leaves their access is removed straight away and the licence is reused.

Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint

Cloud PCs connect to Microsoft 365, so remote staff work in the same files and conversations as the rest of your team.

Your Options

How a Cloud PC compares

There are three common ways to give a remote staff member a computer for work. This is how they compare for a small business.

Their own computer

Staff use a personal laptop or desktop.

A company laptop

You buy, set up and post a device.

A Cloud PC

Staff log in to a desktop hosted in Australia.

Why Digitek

Why businesses choose Digitek for Cloud PCs

A Cloud PC is only as secure as the way it is set up. We agree the controls with you, set them up properly and keep looking after them as your team changes.

Controls set for each role

We agree with you what each person can copy, download and reach, and set the restrictions to suit their role.

Starters and leavers looked after

Tell us when someone starts or finishes, and we set up or remove their Cloud PC and reuse the licence where we can.

Price agreed up front, no lock-in

We agree the monthly price and what it covers before any work starts, and agreements are month to month with 30 days notice.

How It Works

How we set up your Cloud PCs

01

We talk through your team

We find out who needs a Cloud PC, where they work from, which applications they use and what data they need to reach.

02

You get a plan and monthly price

You get a written plan covering the Cloud PC licences, the security controls and our support, with the price agreed before any work starts.

03

We build and secure each Cloud PC

Each Cloud PC is set up with your applications, Microsoft 365 and the restrictions agreed for that role, ready for your staff to log in.

04

Your staff log in and we support you

Your staff connect from their own computer, and we look after the Cloud PCs from there, adding and removing people as your team changes.

This is their second company we are using and extremely professional. Helped me setup our microsoft outlook (absolute nightmare when we were trying to do it ourselves) but they saved the day. They gave me an upfront number which I love vs guessing how much it'll be right at the end

I was experiencing issues with email deliverability and wasn’t sure what was causing it. I reached out to Jordan, and with just one quick look, he pinpointed the problem, my DMARC records weren’t set up correctly. He offered a complimentary call, explained everything clearly, and helped me get it sorted straight away. Super responsive, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely be referring others to him in future!

Jim has helped me a number of times with my website safety and functionality. Not only that, but he has helped me research laptop and monitors for me when I was overwhelmed with the choices and was able to explain to me the differences. Will be using Jim at digitek for many years to come.

Questions

Cloud PCs: common questions

A Cloud PC is a complete Windows computer that runs in the cloud instead of on a desk. Your staff log in to it from their own computer over the internet, and because it has its own processing, memory and storage, it works like a normal PC.

Windows 365 is Microsoft’s Cloud PC service, and it is what we use to set up Cloud PCs for our clients. Each person gets their own Windows desktop, licensed per user and hosted in Australian data centres.

Your Cloud PCs are hosted in Australian data centres, so the files and applications your staff work on inside the Cloud PC stay in Australia, even when the person using it is overseas.

Only if you allow it. Copy and paste between the Cloud PC and the staff member’s own computer can be blocked, and USB devices and website access can be restricted, so your business data stays inside the Cloud PC.

They need a reliable internet connection and a Windows or Mac computer. They connect through a web browser or Microsoft’s Windows App, and their Cloud PC looks and works like a normal Windows desktop.

We remove their access straight away, so they can no longer reach the Cloud PC or your data. There is no laptop to collect, and the licence can be reused for the next person you bring on.

There are two parts, the monthly Microsoft licence for each Cloud PC and our support. We set out both in your plan, the price is agreed before any work starts, and agreements are month to month with 30 days notice.

Yes. Digitek Outsourcing is our sister business, which recruits and manages virtual assistants for Australian businesses. Digitek IT sets up and supports the Cloud PCs they work from, and you can use either business on its own.
