Some of the businesses we work with

Cloud Computing
The cloud, set up properly for a small business
Many businesses still rely on a server in a cupboard, files saved on individual computers and a remote access setup nobody fully trusts. When the server is ageing or staff need to work from home, the cloud is usually the better option.
Moving is the easy part. Setting up permissions, security and backups correctly is what keeps the business running afterwards, and that is the part Digitek looks after.
The cloud is worth a look if
- Your server is ageing or out of warranty
- Staff email files to themselves so they can work from home
- Remote or offshore staff use personal computers to reach your data
- Nobody is sure who can see which files
- You are opening a second office or hiring outside Sydney
Your team should be able to reach their work from anywhere, and you should always know who has access to it.
What We Do
Our cloud services
Every business is different, so we start with what you use today and move what makes sense. These are the cloud services businesses most often ask us for.
Microsoft 365 setup and migration
Email, calendars, Teams and OneDrive are set up properly, and your existing mailboxes are moved across in a planned, staged migration.
SharePoint and file sharing
Your shared files move off the server into SharePoint, with folders and permissions organised by team, so people only see what they need.
Server to cloud migration
We review what runs on your server and move applications to the cloud where it makes sense, including hosted options in Microsoft Azure.
Secure Cloud PCs
A complete Windows desktop hosted in Australian data centres, so remote and offshore staff can work securely without business data sitting on their own computers.
Cloud backup and recovery
Microsoft 365, files and cloud systems are backed up separately and restores are tested, so data can be recovered after deletion, failure or ransomware.
Security and access control
Multi-factor authentication, conditional access and device policies control who can reach your data, from which devices and from where.
Secure Cloud PCs
Secure Cloud PCs for remote and offshore staff
Remote staff, contractors and virtual assistants often work from personal computers your business does not control. A Cloud PC gives them a separate, managed Windows desktop that runs in the cloud, and your business data stays inside it.
Each Cloud PC runs on Windows 365 in Australian data centres. Access can be set up quickly when someone starts and removed straight away when they leave, with no laptop to collect.
We set up Cloud PCs for accounting and bookkeeping practices, law firms, brokers, virtual assistant agencies and businesses with offshore teams.
What you control
- Copy and paste between devices can be blocked
- USB and website access restricted where needed
- Business data reached only through the Cloud PC
- Multi-factor authentication on every login
- Antivirus, antimalware and password management
- Licences reused when a staff member leaves

Support that continues after the move
Once you are in the cloud, we keep looking after it, with set response times when something goes wrong.

This is their second company we are using and extremely professional. Helped me setup our microsoft outlook (absolute nightmare when we were trying to do it ourselves) but they saved the day. They gave me an upfront number which I love vs guessing how much it'll be right at the endPosted on Google![]()

I was experiencing issues with email deliverability and wasn’t sure what was causing it. I reached out to Jordan, and with just one quick look, he pinpointed the problem, my DMARC records weren’t set up correctly. He offered a complimentary call, explained everything clearly, and helped me get it sorted straight away. Super responsive, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely be referring others to him in future!Posted on Google![]()

Jim has helped me a number of times with my website safety and functionality. Not only that, but he has helped me research laptop and monitors for me when I was overwhelmed with the choices and was able to explain to me the differences. Will be using Jim at digitek for many years to come.
Questions
Cloud computing: common questions
What is a Cloud PC?
A Cloud PC is a complete Windows computer that runs in the cloud instead of on a desk. Your staff log in to it from their own laptop or a basic computer, and because it has its own processing, memory and storage, it works like a normal PC.
Where is our data stored?
Cloud PCs are hosted in Australian data centres. For Microsoft 365 and other cloud services, we confirm where your data is stored as part of your plan, so you know before anything moves.
Do we still need a server?
Not always. Many small businesses can move email, files and most applications to the cloud and retire the server. Some specialist software still needs a server, and we will tell you if that applies to you.
How long does a cloud migration take?
It depends on the number of staff, mailboxes and applications involved. We give you a timeline in your plan before any work starts, and the move is staged so your team keeps working.
Is the cloud secure?
It can be, when it is set up properly. The security of a cloud setup depends on how accounts and access are configured, so we put multi-factor authentication, conditional access, device policies and separate backups in place.
How much does cloud computing cost?
There are two parts, the monthly licence costs for services such as Microsoft 365 and Cloud PCs, and our support. We set out both in your plan, and the price is agreed before any work starts.
Can offshore staff and virtual assistants use Cloud PCs?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons businesses use them. Offshore staff connect from their own computer, while your business data stays inside the Cloud PC hosted in Australia.
Do you support businesses outside Sydney?
Yes. We are based in Western Sydney, and because cloud systems are managed remotely, we support businesses in other cities and regions across Australia.
Ready to move your business to the cloud?
Tell us about your server, your team and how you work. We will give you a clear plan and monthly price, and there is no lock-in contract.
