Broker IT Support
IT support for brokers who handle sensitive client documents
Every loan application and insurance policy brings in identity documents, payslips, bank statements and tax returns. Your brokers need to reach them from the office, from home and at client meetings, often on a phone.
Digitek looks after the setup behind your office, from Microsoft 365 and email security to the laptops and phones your team uses every day, on both Windows and Apple.
Broker IT support is worth a look if
- Client documents sit in email attachments or on personal laptops
- Brokers read work email on phones with no security settings
- Passwords to lender or insurer portals are shared between staff
- Remote or offshore processing staff work from their own computers
- Nobody is sure who still has access after someone leaves
Your brokers should be able to work from anywhere, and every client document should stay protected and stay with your business.
Cyber Resilience
IT that covers the cyber security basics brokers are asked for
In May 2026, the MFAA encouraged brokers to lift their cyber resilience, following guidance from ASIC.
The MFAA’s checklist is short and practical. It covers multi-factor authentication on every account, unique passwords, keeping software up to date, watching for phishing emails and keeping work logins off personal devices and browser autofill.
These are everyday IT controls. We put them in place across your office and explain each one in plain English, so you understand what is covered and why.
What we put in place
- Multi-factor authentication on every account
- A separate login for every staff member, with 1Password for shared passwords
- Security updates applied automatically to every device
- Email filtering, staff training and phishing simulations
- Managed laptops and phones that can be locked or wiped
- Help straight away if there is a data breach
What's Included
What IT support for brokers includes
Your setup is built around the number of brokers and support staff, where they work and the devices they prefer. These are the services broking offices most often need.
Microsoft 365 and email
Email, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint are set up for every broker and staff member, so client documents are kept in one place instead of in inboxes and on personal laptops.
Laptops and phones
Devices are managed with security policies on both Windows and Apple, so a laptop or phone left at a client meeting can be locked or wiped.
Email and cyber security
Email filtering, multi-factor authentication, staff training and phishing simulations help your team spot fake invoices and changed bank detail emails.
Cloud PCs for processing staff
Remote and offshore processing staff work on a secure Windows desktop in Australian data centres, so client documents stay off their own computers.
New starters and leavers
New staff get their accounts, email and a 1Password vault set up with multi-factor authentication, and access is removed on the day someone leaves.
Backup and recovery
Your Microsoft 365 email and files are backed up separately, along with your servers and shared files, and restores are tested.

We talk through how your office works, where your brokers work from and what keeps going wrong with email, devices and logins.

You get a clear price
We review your Microsoft 365, devices, security and backups, then give you a monthly price and a plan before any work starts.

We work with your current provider to move accounts, devices and access across, and schedule larger changes outside business hours where possible.
04
We look after it every day

Where We Work
Supporting brokers in Sydney and beyond
Digitek IT is based in Western Sydney, with on-site support for broking offices in Penrith, Parramatta, Norwest and the Hills District. Brokers in Melbourne, Newcastle and other cities are supported remotely, which is how most day-to-day problems are fixed anyway.

This is their second company we are using and extremely professional. Helped me setup our microsoft outlook (absolute nightmare when we were trying to do it ourselves) but they saved the day. They gave me an upfront number which I love vs guessing how much it'll be right at the endPosted on Google![]()

I was experiencing issues with email deliverability and wasn’t sure what was causing it. I reached out to Jordan, and with just one quick look, he pinpointed the problem, my DMARC records weren’t set up correctly. He offered a complimentary call, explained everything clearly, and helped me get it sorted straight away. Super responsive, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely be referring others to him in future!Posted on Google![]()

Questions
IT support for brokers: common questions
How much does IT support cost for a broking business?
It depends on how many brokers and staff you have, the devices they use and what you need looked after. We review your setup first and agree a price with you before any work starts, so there are no surprise invoices.
What does ASIC expect from brokers on cyber security?
ASIC has asked businesses to understand their cyber security position, resource their defences properly and review their controls regularly. The MFAA has turned that into a practical checklist for brokers, covering multi-factor authentication on every account, unique passwords, software kept up to date, care with phishing emails and no work logins stored on personal devices or in browser autofill. We put the IT side of this in place and explain each part in plain English.
How do you protect us from fake bank detail emails?
We set up email filtering and multi-factor authentication, and train your team to recognise fake payment emails. No technology stops every scam, so we also help you put a call-back check in place before any change to bank details.
Can our brokers work securely away from the office?
Yes. We set up secure access to your files and email, and manage laptops and phones so a lost device can be locked or wiped. Client documents stay in Microsoft 365 rather than on personal devices.
Can you support offshore processing staff?
Yes. Cloud PCs give remote and offshore staff a secure Windows desktop in Australian data centres. Copy and paste, USB drives and websites can be restricted, so client documents stay inside your business’s systems.
Can you help with our cyber insurance questionnaire?
Yes. Joe spent 11 years as an insurance broker, so we can help you work through the IT questions on the form and put in place the protections insurers usually ask about, such as multi-factor authentication and tested backups.
What happens to a broker's email and files when they leave?
We remove their access on the day they leave and keep their mailbox and files with your business, so client correspondence and records are not lost.
What should we do if our business has a data breach?
Call us straight away on 02 4504 8643. We help you secure the affected accounts, work out what was accessed, restore data where needed and explain what needs to happen next.
How quickly do you respond when something goes wrong?
Response times are set out in your agreement. We respond to critical problems within 1 hour, high priority problems within 2 hours, medium within 4 hours and low within 8 hours, during business hours of 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
